It was an honourable moment for R Marine Perth’s Brendon Grieve when he was announced this year’s winner of the WA Boating Industry Association’s esteemed award for Outstanding Contribution.

Nominated by Gary Watkins who works as Sales Manager at R Marine Perth; Brendon is described as a dedicated advocate for the marine industry and has achieved significant results for R Marine Perth.

Brendon received this prestigious accolade at the recent Western Australian Marine Industry awards dinner held at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre.

The award, sponsored by Westcorp Capital Finance, acknowledges outstanding achievement within the marine industry.

“Brendon is a well respected member of the marine industry, his leadership, and outstanding customer service initiatives have continued to grow over the years and I congratulate him on winning this award,” said Mr Watkins.

His list of achievements includes organising regular training days to encourage women to take a more hands-on role in boating, registering and paying for his customers’ membership to the Fremantle Sea Rescue Group, campaigning local government for improved boating facilities including more marina berths, and he also organised a ‘mother ship’ and RIB to be based at Rottnest Island during Christmas to assist owners with boat problems during their holiday break – this proved so successful it is now a permanent arrangement every year.

“Winning this award is a tremendous sense of achievement and encourages me to further raise the benchmark for customer service,” said Mr Grieve.

“There are many people in the industry that deserve this award however I am honoured to have received it. I must thank the team at R Marine Perth for their continued support.”
